Biography
Amir Bayati, 35, was a mechanical engineer fluent in English, German, and French. He was killed on January 9, 2026, in Mehrshahr, Karaj, when he shielded his sister from security forces' bullets during protests. Authorities reportedly abducted his body, returning it to his family days later under threats and conditions. He had recently received a master's study visa for a university in Canada.
